Darlayne Jewell enjoyed competing in scent work so much she became an AKC Scent Work judge. Her Golden, Lexy, was her first scent work dog and was working on her elite title before her retirement from the sport. Darlayne regularly attends seminars and takes on-line webinars to stay up to date in both training and judging trends and discoveries. She has trained numerous dogs in scent work and enjoys the challenges presented by the variety.
Darlayne lives in Shelbyville, KY with Saber (10 yro Belgian Malinois) who recently earned his AKC Detective title and Zu (5 yro Belgian Malinois) who is currently trialing at the excellent level. Both Saber and Zu compete in various sports and venues including scent work, barn hunt and agility. Darlayne is also a Barn Hunt judge and she spends her weekends judging or competing in one sport or another.
