Basset Hound Club of America National Speciality

It is an honor to be asked to judge Junior Showmanship for the Basset Hound Club of Western Pennsylvania. I began my show career as a teenager showing miniature Poodles in both breed and junior showmanship. After my marriage to Bill, we decided to get a Basset Hound, one that would be a pet first, a show dog and one to make our family complete.
We have owned Bassets for over thirty-seven years. I do believe all dogs should be well balanced and I have titled my dogs with several levels of championships, as well as suffix titles in BN, RN, RA, CD, SCNE, FDC, ATT, CGC, CGC, CGCA, CGCU, THD, TKN, VHMP and VHMA. Two of my girls have earned their BHCA versatility certificates.
I am currently showing my two bred-by boys and thoroughly enjoying it.
I am looking forward to judging the Junior Showmanship Classes and thank you to BHCWPA for the invitation.
